This homework series introduce children to all major varieties (e.g. British, American) of written and spoken English and is an excellent way for them to gain confidence and improve their English.
The course is designed to prepare the students for the Cambridge test format for the listening, reading and writing papers. These papers teach different English skills that are divided into parts. Once the students have completed all the parts, they move on to the next stage.
Each activity must be completed for the student to move on to the next unit. Nearly all responses are graded automatically and for students enrolled in courses with a teacher – they will be able to discuss any questions you have about the answers. At the end of the course, students will receive a certificate to mark their achievement for completing this online Cambridge English course.
Listening: to understand when somebody talks about their family or friends in simple sentences, and to understand instructions given by the teacher in the classroom, such as ‘You must do this’, or ‘Draw a ball under the table’.
Reading and Writing: to understand longer texts about everyday topics, even if they do not know all the words, to write a short message on a postcard or in an email, to write about how they feel and give reasons why, to write short dialogues, and to make up a story in English using ideas, pictures or words provided in the homework.
